Bio
Carson Henley was a trained piano player from the age of three who was taught to appreciate "timeless" music.
On his latest album, the Seattle, WA singer-songwriter accomplished what few people would have attempted, let alone finish successfully, according to Grammy Award-winning producer, Kory Kruckenberg. Carson adds, “The concept of this project was to push myself to write and record a complete album from scratch, in 100-straight waking hours, with the most talented people I knew.
Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, The Shins), also a Grammy winner, mastered the album. I’m so happy with how it turned out.” The entire creative process, with its pressures, hurdles and triumphs, was captured on a 48-minute documentary, chronicling the rare musical feat. Carson's resulting album, "100 Hours", emits a vintage soul with a raw rock edge, earning comparisons to Joe Cocker, James Morrison and Maroon 5.
His 3rd LP included rising artists Allen Stone, Tess Henley, and James McAlister (Sufjan Stevens, Brandi Carlile). The album’s first single, “Fire” showcases his soulful voice, funky blues instrumentals, and contrasting harmonies that make the perfect recipe for an infectious single. Most recently, Carson’s "100 Hours" has won the 2013 Independent Music Award for best pop album, #2 album of the year by Blues Rock Review, and he is a 2013 top 10 singer songwriter for Guitar Center.
